The growth of MOOCs has highlighted the general track of technology impact on education and future planning. Next generation does not see technology as separate from their daily life. They are ready for learning through the technology. I am posting this information just to make it wide spread to my readers so that there might be someone interested in taking these frees courses. These courses will not only grow your knowledge but they will play vital role in growth of your career as well. There are some MOOCs which can help you earn university credits. Most of the MOOCs are provided with university recognized certificates.

The Open Learning Initiative (OLI) is a grant-funded group at Carnegie Mellon University, offering innovative online courses to anyone who wants to learn or teach. Our aim is to create high-quality courses and contribute original research to improve learning and transform higher education.

We do not want to open up universities. We want to open up knowledge. Everyone knows something they can teach someone else and we want to help them do it. Our community has created tens of thousands of courses and taken millions of courses. At this point, more than a billion lines of code have been submitted to Codecademy.

Our mission at ALISON is simple: to enable you, wherever you are in the world, to learn and get certified – at your own pace – using our free, interactive, multimedia. There are 600 free courses for you to choose from the list.
